Experience Tasmania's beautiful waterways like never before. Enjoy a picnic on the water, an adventure with friends and family, a romantic escape or just a relaxing break away on the water.
As soon as you step aboard an Ondine boat you'll feel at home. The quality interior finishes offer a touch of luxury and the enclosed cabin protects you from the elements. Large windows open up so you can bring the outdoors inside when weather permits. Conversation is easy while cruising thanks to electric sailing so you won't have to shout. Adding a bar fridge (stocked with refreshments) was a no-brainer, but we added a toilet in the bow too, making extended trips hassle free.
We partnered with Van Diemen Luxury Craft to design, craft and create a boat unlike any other. Custom designed and purpose built to cater for a social gathering, Ondine boats have been designed just for Tasmania's waterways and climate. Their elegant lines and clean layout offer the perfect balance of bold sophistication.
Ondine boats are all equipped with a next level navigation that is simple to use. It's as easy as choosing a trip, a quick safety briefing and you're off. Advanced auto-pilot and driver assistance makes driving a breeze, while high end technology keeps you safe. Learn more here.
Each Ondine boat has its own personality and name which shines through in the carefully considered custom interior design. The common thread of romance runs through the entire Ondine fleet and is reflected in the elegant lines, wood detail, fabrics and textures.
Ondine boats were created with vision to make Hobart's waterways more accessible to all, including those less able bodied. Boats offer easy access for those with mobility limitations via a flat platform. Please get in touch if you would like to ask more questions about accessibility.
Safety was at the core of every decision during the boat design and build process. Our boats are commercial vessels, certified for the hire-and-drive market. The boats feel very stable underfoot and the enclosed cabin bring in an additional element of safety and protection from the elements. There are a range of safety features including geo fencing to ensure some less safe areas are avoided, a high wave breaking bow for easy handling of higher winds and choppy conditions and high buoyancy levels. The stern door and swim platform will also only be open if the boat is stationary. Extra high gunwales (sides) provide additional safety and ease of mind for parents.
Electric propulsion is not only clean, silent and good for the environment, but offers a host of benefits to boating. Electric boats are safe and easy to operate and provide excellent manoeuvrability especially coupled with our intelligent control systems. No pollution or noise not only makes your trip enjoyable, but it does not disturb the natural environment with noise, exhaust fumes or excessive wash allowing you to get closer to wildlife and enjoy nature. Taking a large combustion engine out of the equation means there is more space onboard providing a luxurious, open cockpit and an aft that opens up to a beautiful swim platform. The advancements in electric motors and battery technology ensure performance and sail time is not compromised.
We are committed to being green and only relying on renewable energies! Our signature solar roof not only looks good, keeps you protected and allows us to extend sailing time, but generates a large proportion of our power consumption. In Tasmania, we are fortunate that our power is generated by hydro, but we are also taking steps to improve our charging stations to take advantage of more solar and wind as we grow. Improving noise and vibration pollution reduces the impact to the marine environment where we operate.
